- In cooperation with Chabad -  [image](  B"h [Year of Hakhel](  Dear Friend, Kamianske, Ukraine is a picturesque town on the banks of the Dnipro River. It’s home to a thriving and resilient Jewish community, led by my brother, Rabbi Levi Stambler, who directs the local Chabad center. They have endured many tribulations since war broke out in Ukraine, but the latest one threatens to topple this beautiful Jewish community for good. You see, Kamianske is home to the Middle Dnieper Hydroelectric Station, which channels the power of the Dnipro river to provide electricity to the region. And as Ukrainian power infrastructure became a target in recent weeks, Kamianske has been plunged into darkness and cold. Suddenly, hundreds of Jewish families are facing the prospect of enduring the below-freezing weather and long nights without heat or light. They’ve turned to Chabad of Kamianske, but the Chabad House, too, is without power or heat. CHABAD OF KAMIANSKE URGENTLY NEEDS A GENERATOR! Of course, one aspect of the need is coming up with the $20,000 the generator will cost. Chabad of Poland is determined to cover this expense, as we have been determined to help our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in any way possible since the day war broke out. If you’d like to join in this effort, please visit [Charidy.com/plitim]( and note in your donation "generator." But there’s a bigger problem: with 40% of Ukraine’s power infrastructure damaged or destroyed, generators are incredibly scarce. All of Poland’s stock of generators have already been shipped to Ukraine, with a three-month wait for any new ones. WE ARE URGENTLY SEEKING A GENERATOR—ANYWHERE IN EUROPE—THAT WE CAN SHIP TO UKRAINE! If you know of a way Chabad of Poland can obtain a full-house generator for Chabad of Kamianske, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! Ideally, the generator needs to provide 120 Kilowatts and be fueled by compressed natural gas (pipe gas). If this is unavailable, a generator with a diesel engine — such as the CAT Olympian GEP 165-1, or the Gappa 0000150R3 would be helpful as well. As attacks on Ukrainian territory continue, the situation is desperate for thousands of Jewish refugees who have no place warm and safe to call home. Many have fled to Poland and are relying on Chabad of Poland to help them. We provide them with food, medicine, clothing and shelter. Costs are exorbitant— energy prices have risen as much as 500% in Poland—but with your help, we are determined not to let them down. Thank you for continuing to prioritize this life-saving effort!    [PLEASE CLICK HERE TO HELP US HELP UKRAINIAN REFUGEES!](   With best wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity Sincerely, Rabbi Stambler Chabad of Poland Ul.
