This year, in honor of Israel's 74th Independence Day celebrations, the Government of Israel together with the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs will honor a Jewish individual living outside of Israel to represent world Jewry at the official Independence Day Ceremony on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. We invite you to nominate a Jewish representative who is a source of inspiration and pride due to his/her unique contribution in strengthening the relationship between Israel and world Jewry, creating a more inclusive Jewish and Israeli society, and deepening unity by fostering a common destiny. This year's theme is "An outstretched hand in brotherly and sisterly love." An official committee representing the Government of Israel will review the nominations and select the most suitable candidate. Nominations may be submitted in English or Hebrew to the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs by February 7th, 2022. For more information and to submit nominations visit The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs website. The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs will collect the nominations and submit them to the selection committee, which is part of the Israel National Event and Ceremony Authority.
