Like so many people around the country today, Iâm mourning the loss of an incredible advocate for justice. Itâs hard to believe that our country has lost a living legend.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was not only a trailblazer on and off the Court in her lifelong fight for justice and equality, but she was also an icon and inspiration for so many who followed her lead.
Her passing is an unimaginable loss for the judicial system and the nation as a whole.
At this critical juncture in our nationâs history, we need more advocates like Justice Ginsburg fighting for the things we hold dear. We must all keep her memory alive, and ensure that her values stay with us.
I ask you to join me in honoring Justice Ginsburgâs life and legacy today, and in the months ahead â these next weeks will be some of the most important in our nationâs history.
May her memory be a blessing.
