Hey, {NAME}. No, I haven't been hacked. I actually did just type those words. But, it's time. Let me explain this journey... You may know that my business started more than 11 years ago now. Even then, I was reluctant to get "out front" much. It was a challenge getting started with videos, webinars, and podcasts. And public speaking was about as tough as it could get. But, I got over those fears (mostly) and fought through. Still, I did these things in ways that made me most comfortable. I rarely did record videos, but often I'd do screenshares. Even when I hosted webinars, I'd only show the slides. Of course, the world's been changing. Social media is making a hard pivot to short form video. Personal connection, show your face. I've resisted, but I can't resist anymore. Initially, I tried again to do it "my way." I'd create Reels and TikTok videos promoting my podcast that relied on a static image. Not too surprisingly, those didn't do great. So now, I'm taking the plunge. Part of it is embracing that my videos are going to suck at first. I have to be okay with that. It's all part of the process of learning and getting better. I'll eventually figure out what works best, like I always do. It's been awkward, but I think I'm starting to get better at this. Here's my latest TikTok video on Advantage Custom Audiences: [jonloomer/video/7150709599979474219]( Yeah, it's a little awkward. But, I think it's getting better. This truly is like starting over again. It's not a fun place to be, but there's also something a little great about it. I'm excited when anyone (especially real people, not bots) follow me or react to my videos. Because really, it's been rare so far. I also jumped into TikTok ads. Not a huge investment yet, but I wanted to give it a shot. Here's my biggest takeaway: Holy crap, it's almost exactly like Facebook ads. I'm talking about the campaign creation, but also the Business Manager structure. If you've been creating Facebook ads for a while, this process is going to be extremely familiar to you. When I took on the challenge of TikTok ads, I wanted to go in fresh without any assumptions. I started with the most basic and easiest ads: Ads to increase followers. Not too surprisingly, these ads suffer the same issues that top-of-the-funnel ads on Facebook do. So many bots and fake profiles. Even when I changed from "Automatic Audience" to an interest in Facebook ads, I had no confidence that the new followers were people who actually cared about what I was doing. I eventually progressed to Traffic ads. Maybe very slightly better, but the issues here, again, weren't surprising. We see these same quality issues with Facebook ads. I was hoping that TikTok had solved something that Facebook hasn't. My next challenge will be TikTok lead ads. From there, I'll eventually get to conversions. I feel fortunate that this all feels second nature since it's so similar to Facebook ads, so I'm confident I'll find something that works. Anyway, that's my journey. I'd be honored if you'd follow me there ([@jonloomer]()). Nothing would be better than having an actual audience of like-minded people in this scary place that I'm trying to figure out. You may have even seen my videos on Facebook and Instagram Reels. I need to do this. Of course, my overall focus isn't changing, but I understand that this format -- no matter where I do it -- is something I need to get better at. Anyway, I hope you're having a great week. Let me know how things are going. Thanks, Jon [Unsubscribe]( Jon Loomer Digital 17503 Ruxton Ct Parker, Colorado 80134 United States

Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
