[Take Off] [Article Icon 1] Supreme Court Weighs Social Media Rights The Supreme Court [heard arguments today]( over the free speech rights of social media platforms fighting against Texas and Florida laws that limit their ability to moderate content. The two state laws were designed to protect conservative posts from being blocked or restricted by social media platforms. The platforms' lawyers claimed the right as publishers to moderate their own content. A majority of the justices [appeared skeptical]( that states can regulate social media content without running afoul of the First Amendment. It may be months before the Court makes its ruling. [Article Icon 1] Gallup Tracks Growing U.S. Dissatisfaction Ahead of next week's State of the Union address, Gallup released a "State of the Nation" survey that shows growing national dissatisfaction toward many areas of American life. The poll showed Americans are less satisfied with the nation’s military readiness, immigration, gun regulations, and energy policies, which all fell by double digits. [You can see the full survey here.]( Gallup has conducted this poll for the past three years, tracking satisfaction with 29 aspects of U.S. policy. Respondents in this year's poll also expressed concern about taxes and medical care. American feelings about the environment, quality of life, social security, and affordable health care remained relatively unchanged, and a few [policy areas showed modest gains.]( [Article Icon 1] Woman Inherits $1 Billion, Gives It Away [A 93-year-old widow]( who inherited $1 billion from her dead husband donated it all to New York City’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine to make it tuition-free for all students. Ruth Gottesman, [a former professor]( at the Einstein College, was the wife of Wall Street investor David Gottesman, an early investor of the financial holding company Berkshire Hathaway. School officials said the money will be used to attract applicants priced out of most medical schools. Einstein’s current tuition is nearly $60,000 a year.
