[Take Off] [Article Icon 1] U.S. Plans to Hit Iranian Targets The U.S. has approved plans [to attack Iranian targets]( in Syria and Iraq in a series of strikes staged over several days, government officials told CBS News. The strikes are in retaliation for a drone attack in the region that killed three U.S. troops and injured dozens more. The targets will include Iranian personnel and facilities, officials said. Weather will be a major factor in the timing of the strikes.
