[Take Off] [Article Icon 1] Congress Passes Stopgap Funding Bill Congress passed another short-term stopgap funding bill to keep the government open but [set new deadlines](of March 1 and 8 for passage of a full budget. The Senate [passed its bill]( in the afternoon, 77-18, as lawmakers worked quickly to avoid the shutdown deadline of midnight tonight as well as a winter storm headed for Washington D.C. In the House, efforts by some representatives to [add an amendment](on immigration to the bill were defeated, and the House voted under expedited rules for the stopgap funding bill. It passed 314-108 with mostly Democratic support. [Article Icon 1] No Labels Says it's Targeted by 'Conspiracy' No Labels, the nonprofit group trying to build support for a third-party presidential ticket, filed a complaint with the Justice Department alleging a [“conspiracy”](among mostly Democratic-aligned groups to block its work at every level. American Bridge, a Democratic Party opposition research organization, is openly focused on [thwarting outsiders]( with legal challenges, whether No Labels or Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent effort. The effort is separate from, but dovetails with, Democrats’ legal attempts to keep Donald Trump, a Republican, off primary ballots. Those cases are headed for the Supreme Court, while No Labels is now on the ballot in 14 states. New research shows the cheapest states to buy groceries are all in the Midwest. The new study, created by HelpAdvisor using U.S. census data, ranks all 50 states by how much groceries cost. The most expensive state is California, averaging $297 a week. But the most expensive city for groceries is Miami, at $327 a week. States spending the least on groceries are Wisconsin ($221), Iowa ($227), and Nebraska ($235).
