[Take Off] [Article Icon 1]House Seeks Contempt Charges for Hunter Biden Two House committees released reports Monday recommending that Hunter Biden be charged with contempt of Congress [for defying a subpoena](to appear for a closed-door deposition. The Oversight and Judiciary panels are scheduled to consider the contempt resolution on Wednesday. If the resolution passes, it will [move to a vote]( in the full House, which can then refer that matter for prosecution to the Justice Department. Biden refused to testify at a closed-door session, insisting the hearing be open to the public. Instead, he held a press conference when he was supposed to be meeting behind doors with the House committee. [Article Icon 1]Fuel Leak Imperils Moon Mission After Launch The first U.S. moon mission in 50 years ran into trouble just hours after its successful blast-off after it [developed a fuel leak](, dimming hope that its lunar lander would reach the moon's surface. Astrobiotics, the private company behind the mission, managed to orient its lander toward the sun to charge its solar battery but said the “critical loss of fuel” left it without the maneuverability needed for a soft lunar touchdown. The spacecraft was launched into a long elliptical orbit that wouldn’t have reached the moon until Feb. 23. The company said it's assessing [“what alternative mission profiles might be feasible at this time.”]( Another private company, [Intuitive Machines,]( also backed by NASA, is planning a similar moon mission next month. It will use a rocket from SpaceX and will also attempt to carry scientific and commercial payloads to the moon’s surface.
