The gunman was armed with a pump-action shotgun and a small-caliber handgun. Students [hid and fled during the shooting]( while parents rushed to the school. The town of 80,000 held a vigil that evening for the injured students and the school principal, who was also shot. The suspect’s motive remains unknown, police said. They’re looking into “a number of social media posts” he made around the time of the shooting. The suit targets only the bus companies and not the state of Texas. The lawsuit accuses the bus companies of illegally transporting [more than 33,000 migrants]( to New York and says $708 million is the amount it’s spent to provide shelter and services to the migrants over the last two years.
