The court, controlled by Democrats, let stand a decision from a lower state court that Michigan’s secretary of state lacked legal authority to remove Trump from the ballot. The judges noted that election laws in Michigan were [different than those in Colorado,]( which ruled against Trump last week. Trump is appealing that decision to the U.S. Supreme Court. The brothers won national fame as hosts of a groundbreaking network variety show in the 1960s. Tom played the dim-witted brother to his real-life brother Dick Smothers, 85. In their musical numbers, Tommy would inevitably interrupt the song to start an absurd argument that was the highlight of the act.
