[Take Off] [Article Icon 1] Israel, Hamas Agree to Hostage Swap Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won the support of his war cabinet for a hostage swap with Hamas and a temporary ceasefire, and Israel and Hamas [have confirmed the deal]( separately. The agreement allows for a [group of 50 Israeli hostages]( to be released, along with 150 Hamas prisoners, during the first phase of the deal. Israel will also allow 300 aid trucks to enter Gaza per day. Netanyahu told the full cabinet that Israel [will continue the war]( after any pauses even if the hostage deal is agreed to. The hostage swap isn’t expected to begin until Thursday at the earliest. [Article Icon 1] Army Wants Vets Back Who Refused Vaccine The U.S. Army has [sent a letter]( to former service members discharged for refusing mandatory COVID shots, telling them they can now remove their dismissals from their records, allowing them to rejoin the Army. The military is struggling to meet recruitment numbers, one of the factors driving the outreach [to 1,900 active-duty soldiers]( who were separated because they would not get vaccinated for COVID. Rep. Ben Cline said on X that those who got the letter should be [entitled to back pay]( and restoration of their rank, and others asked if it was an admission of wrongdoing about the vaccine mandates in the first place. On average, it’s a salary of $248,000 a year and $1.2 million in the bank, according to a new survey ([See Charts]() by financial services company Empower. That number varies sharply depending on the age of the respondent. For millennials, it’s a salary of $525,000 and $1.7 million in the bank. The median household income in the U.S. is about $74,000 annually. Overall, Empower says “happiness” in this case primarily means freedom from financial stress.
