It doesn’t include funding for Ukraine, which Democrats wanted. Nonetheless, the bill passed in the House largely with the support of Democrats, cutting out Republicans opposed to the deal. Rep. Matt Gaetz, one of the most outspoken of the GOP opponents, vowed to move this week [to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy](. Meanwhile, McCarthy’s allies in the House say they’re preparing a motion [to expel Gaetz]( over ethics issues. The GOP has a slim majority in Congress, and it requires a two-thirds majority to expel a member. The post-season playoffs begin Tuesday, leading to the World Series on Oct. 27.
