Donald Trump, as before, chose not to participate. Ron DeSantis [will stand center stage]( for tonight's debate, flanked by Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy. Next will be Chris Christie and Tim Scott, and on the outer wings will be Doug Burghum and Mike Pence. All seven candidates are trailing Trump in the polls by a wide margin, and some strategists predict that at least one of the candidates will take on Trump directly to try and break out of the pack. [Article Icon 1]Biden Joins Picket Line, Tells Union "Stick With It" President Biden became the first president ever to [join striking autoworkers]( on a picket line, saying he endorsed the United Auto Workers demand for a 40% pay raise and urging them to “stick with it.” Past presidents have [preferred not to take sides]( in order to have influence with both management and labor, but Biden’s team wants to show union support ahead of today’s visit to Detroit by Donald Trump, who will also speak to union workers.
