A stretch of the I-10 freeway was closed. The storm dumped heavy rain from the Mexico border up through Las Vegas and beyond. One of the [worst hit communities was Palm Springs,]( where streets were flooded by debris flows, blocking traffic in and out of town. The area was also hit by an earthquake over the weekend and rocked by continuing after-shocks through Monday. This morning, Hilary is [headed toward Oregon and Idaho,]( with more rain expected.
