Ilhan Omar.]( The students were demanding the schools divest from Israel and protesting the Gaza war. When the students refused to leave, school officials called the police to clear them out. Among the seven men and five women jurors are a sales professional, a software engineer, a security engineer, an English teacher, a speech therapist, multiple lawyers, an investment banker, and a retired wealth manager. The selection process for the five remaining alternates will resume Friday. Near the end of Thursday’s proceedings, [a request for a list of witnesses]( by Trump’s attorney was denied by prosecutors and the judge due to Trump’s use of social media, though prosecutors agreed it was a courtesy typically extended. If the remaining alternate jurors are selected today, [opening statements]( will begin Monday, with the prosecution going first.
