{NAME}, I’ll cut to the chase: Maryland Democrats aren’t doing enough. [John Banner]( {NAME}, I’ll cut to the chase: Maryland Democrats aren’t doing enough. Sure, we’ve made important progress over the years, but adherence to the status quo, especially during these past eight years under Governor Hogan, has fettered critical progressive efforts in the General Assembly. [If you’re ready for REAL change, I’m humbly asking you to contribute to our campaign today >>]( We passed the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future but never funded universal, affordable childcare. We passed the Climate Solutions Act but adopted goals and policies that do far too little to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. We claim equality for all but fail to provide transgender Marylanders the gender-affirming care they need and deserve. We call for racial justice but fail to meaningfully address the fact that Maryland incarcerates young Black men at a rate higher than any other state in America. As Democrats, this is unacceptable, and I know we can do better. I’m running for governor because I want to make Maryland state government a real positive force for good in people’s lives. [If you believe in an accountable state government, that health care is a human right, that our approach to transportation should be centered around people not cars, and that working Marylanders deserve real economic dignity, I am humbly asking you to make a donation to fuel my campaign ahead of our July 19th primary?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately. [$3]( [$7]( [$12]( [$20]( [$50]( [$100]( [OTHER AMOUNT]( Over the past year as we’ve campaigned in every corner of the state, I’ve had the privilege to meet scores of Marylanders who share their struggles, triumphs, and aspirations with me. And what I’ve taken away is this: our state government must do better. The support coming out of Annapolis right now simply isn’t serving Marylanders the way it’s supposed to and folks are fed up with career politicians catering to the party establishment. Marylanders are ready for bold, progressive change. I know we can win back the governorship in November, but it’s going to take a massive grassroots movement of folks committed to building a Maryland that works for everyone. If you’re ready to make it happen, please give what you can in these final days.
