Tomorrow at 7PM, join Heather Mizeur, Michele Gregory, John King and me for a virtual conversation about what comes next in the fight for abortion access in a post-Roe era [John King and Michelle Siri for Maryland]( Hello {NAME}, it's Michelle Siri, John's running mate. In case you missed it, I wanted to proudly share that Pro-Choice Maryland Action recently endorsed our campaign for Governor and Lt. Governor! Having dedicated my career to the fight for reproductive rights – from my time as Board President of Planned Parenthood Maryland to my current role as Executive Director of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland – this endorsement from one of Maryland's leading reproductive rights organizations means the world to me. Especially now, as we wait for the conservative-majority Supreme Court to release their decision effectively reversing Roe, I recognize that the fight to protect women's right to choose and the right to bodily autonomy demands action now. So, as countless Marylanders and folks across the country ask "what's next?" in a post-Roe era, I wanted to take a moment to invite you to join me, Heather Mizeur, Michele Gregory, and John tomorrow for a virtual conversation about the actions the next Maryland Democratic administration must take to not only protect abortion access in light of the potential SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe and Casey, but to make that access meaningful for everyone. Date: Tuesday, June 14th Time: 7:00-7:45PM Where: Virtual on Zoom Featuring: Democratic Candidate for MD-01 Heather Mizeur & Democratic Candidate for Senate District 38 Michele Gregory [RSVP]( If you care about access to safe, legal abortion, now is the time to learn how to mobilize and fight for women’s rights to govern their own bodies. No matter who you are or where you come from, each of us deserves the dignity to make choices for ourselves. Unfortunately, we cannot depend on the federal government to protect these rights, we need to push Maryland to lead by an example for the rest of the country on how to support reproductive freedom. Maryland is poised to become one of the most southern states where abortion will remain completely legal and protected by law, and a King-Siri administration will lead the charge to support our neighbors seeking reproductive health care when their own states won’t provide it. So I hope you'll join John, Heather, Michele and me for a powerful conversation moderated by Lily Bolourian, Executive Director for Pro-Choice Maryland Action to discuss what can be done at the state and federal levels to protect abortion access. Tune in here: [www.mobilize.us/teamjohnkingforgovernor/event/469544/]( Now more than ever, we need leadership that understands what’s at stake and what it really means to support reproductive freedom. Without the basic dignity of bodily autonomy, we can never achieve gender equality. Thank you and I hope to see you there, Michelle Siri   [John King and Michelle Siri for Maryland]( [MERCH]( [CONTRIBUTE]( [VOLUNTEER]( [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Instagram]( [TikTok]( Paid for by John King for Governor, Eliza Leighton, Treasurer John King for Governor PO Box 8429 Silver Spring, MD 20907 United States If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
