And I know he’s counting on your support to help him do it. {NAME}, I’ve known my husband

And I know he’s counting on your support to help him do it. {NAME}, I’ve known my husband John King for a long time (we just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary!). I know he can win this election and deliver on the promise of progress for countless Marylanders. And I know he’s counting on your support to help him do it. In just a few days, our campaign faces our biggest public fundraising deadline to-date. So I wanted to share three reasons to donate right now: - John’s polling shows that our biggest hurdle is his name recognition. When people get to know him and hear his powerful personal story and vision to build a more equitable Maryland, he takes the lead and honestly will win this race. No doubt in my mind. - John’s currently being outspent by a few candidates with corporate connections but we are not seeing that change the shape of this race. Guess what? Barack Obama was outspent in his race too. People told him constantly he had no chance against establishment candidates like Hillary Clinton. Well, he won – and then he asked John to serve in his Cabinet. And I know John will win this race if we remain focused and dig deep. - If John wins, he will make history as Maryland’s first Black governor and our nation’s first Afro-Latino governor. Electing people of color in leadership roles is more critical than ever and demonstrates to young people that they too can achieve whatever they set their mind to. I’m new to campaigns, but I can tell you firsthand this campaign runs on grassroots support from folks like you. John and I are so grateful for the immense showing of support we’ve seen from Marylanders in every corner of the state. But before this deadline hits, we need another 150 donors to step up before midnight to help us have the show of strength we need for the final 5 days before our deadline. [CHIP IN NOW]( I’m counting on you, {NAME}. I hope to see your name on the donor list when I check with our finance team on how this email performed later tonight.
