I am humbly reaching out one last time. {NAME}, Education can be the difference between life and death. And I know that because it was for me. Public school teachers are the reason I am alive, they are the reason I became a teacher, they are the reason I had the privilege to serve as President Barack Obama’s Secretary of Education, and they are the reason I am running for governor today. They gave me hope for what was possible in life and created exceptional opportunities for me that I otherwise would have never known. But I know teachers and public schools can’t do it alone. There’s work that needs to be done on economic development, housing, affordable health care, environmental justice, and so much more – and I’m ready to get to work as Maryland’s next Democratic governor. As you know, we’re closing in on the final fundraising deadline of the year in just a few hours, so I am humbly reaching out one last time to ask: before we close the books on 2021, will you chip in for the first time and support our efforts to improve the lives of Marylanders?[( People from across the state and the nation have shown us immense support, and I hope that you will join us. Whether you can afford to chip in $1, $100, or more, grassroots donations allow my team and me to expand the reach of our operation to connect with voters in every corner of the state. So, please, before we reach our December fundraising deadline, will you pitch in today to help us build a brighter Maryland and guarantee opportunity for all? [( Appreciative of your support, John King If you have contributed to the John King campaign in 2021 via check, using another email address, or any other method — thank you!
