The NRA has already launched ads supporting Dr. Oz [John Fetterman] Omg. I failed a test, {NAME}. But I’m pretty sure you’ll be proud of me for failing it 😁 [John Fetterman has an "F" rating from the NRA]( Yep, I got an F rating from the NRA’s Political Victory Fund. Unlike Dr. Oz, who is endorsed by the NRA-PVF. Our stark difference when it comes to gun violence prevention — the difference being that I support basic safety measures + Oz doesn’t — has made our race a flashpoint for the NRA. 🙄 They’ve already launched ads to support Oz + we know from experience the NRA has million$ to spend when it comes to buying elections. And, quite frankly, {NAME}, our country can’t afford another NRA-backed, bought-and-paid-for senator. [If we’re going to win up against another corporate PAC supporting our opponent, we need all hands on deck. Please, consider rushing a $5 donation to help my team fight back against the NRA + Dr. Oz.]( [Rush $5]( When I talk about gun violence, I want you to know why this issue is so personal to me. On my right arm I have nine different dates tattooed. These are the dates when people were killed through violence in Braddock while I served as Mayor, starting in 2006. Seven out of nine were gun deaths. My first tattoo came after January 16, 2006. It was my second week on the job as mayor after winning my election by a single vote. I received a call and was summoned to a police crime scene where a pizza delivery man had been robbed and killed by gun violence. Every time Braddock lost someone was the worst feeling in the world, {NAME}. In my 13 years as mayor, I worked with the community to take on gun violence and other important issues that Braddock faced every day. One of my proudest achievements as Mayor was when Braddock went five and a half years without a gun death. The United States is the only country that sees this level of mass shootings, and we have the power to end it. To be clear, I’m a gun owner, and I’ve been around guns my whole life. And I want what an overwhelming majority of Americans, including the majority of gun owners, want — which is common sense gun safety measures. We need universal background checks, red flag laws, and more proactive efforts to get illegal guns off our streets. Yet, these beliefs are being used against me by the NRA to drive support for Dr. Oz, who opposes many of these popular safety measures, including a universal background check plan. [Enough is enough. We cannot let the NRA help Oz buy this seat. Please, help our grassroots campaign stand up and fight back against this special interest money by rushing a donation today.]( [Rush $5]( Gun violence prevention is personal for me, and every time we delay real action, we’re only counting down the hours until the next tragedy.
