[John Avlon for Congress]( {NAME}, The choice in this election is now clear. It's the future versus the past. It's hope versus fear. It’s middle out versus top down. It's special interests versus Suffolk County families. The stakes are far higher than the victory of any one political party. We need to build a broad, patriotic coalition to defend American democracy. We need to focus on rebuilding the middle – rebuilding the middle of our economy, and rebuilding the middle of our politics. How do we do this? Not just by firing up the base, but by reaching out. Especially in a swing district like NY-01, we need to win over independent voters, and even some Republicans in this effort to return our nation to a spirit of common sense problem solving that pursues the common good. From the beginning of this campaign, I've been saying that we need to be happy warriors fighting the good fight. Participating in American democracy should be a joyful process in which we ultimately focus on what unites us not what divides us. Yes, we’re fighting for Long Island. But we’re also fighting for democracy, the next generation, and the future of this country. We have less than 70 days to turn the page and write a great new chapter in American history together. That change begins at home, here in New York’s First Congressional District. So dig deep. Volunteer. Knock on every door and donate – believe me, it is cheaper than regret. Together we'll prove that the positive defeats the negative, and together we'll build something positive on the other side of Trumpism: a government guided by common sense problem solving for hardworking families across Suffolk County and the United States of America. Thank you for standing with me in this fight. I’m happy you’re here. Now let's go win an election. -John [CONTRIBUTE]( PAID FOR BY JOHN AVLON FOR CONGRESS John Avlon for Congress PO Box 1200 Sag Harbor, NY 11963 United States If you believe you received this message in error or wish to no longer receive email from us, please [unsubscribe](.
