You may have heard of it already, but in case you haven’t, here’s the gist: Project 2025 is a laundry list of deeply unconstitutional and authoritarian “tasks” for the next Republican president that aim to move our country toward authoritarianism. Among its top goals? Dismantling the civil service, erasing progress on racial equality and LGBTQ+ rights, imposing extreme restrictions on reproductive freedom and immigration, eliminating climate action, and a complete overhaul of public education -- and that’s just the beginning. If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because it is: Many of Project 2025’s policies are based heavily on those of former President Donald Trump.
