President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats are working to build this nation back better -- and the American people are already feeling the impact. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, tens of millions of American families recently began receiving much-needed monthly Child Tax Credit payments. These credits will cover nearly 60 million children and are projected to help cut childhood poverty in half. And we know it is just the start. Once passed, this infrastructure bill will create good paying, union jobs. It will also help tackle the climate crisis and grow the economy sustainably and equitably. From repairing roads and bridges to improving public transportation, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will deliver results for working families. This is not only a big accomplishment for President Biden, but a personal one. That’s why Vice President Harris announced a dramatic expansion of the DNC’s I Will Vote initiative to address and overcome Republican efforts to make voting more difficult. The initiative will: - Educate voters: We’re investing millions in television and digital ads to make it easier for folks to learn how to register and where and when to vote. We also plan to do outreach particularly to new, young, and diverse voters. - Register voters: As we fight back against the most egregious attacks on voters and voting rights in decades, we must also invest in registering voters. - Protect voters: We’re not only taking this fight to the courtroom, but we’re also funding state-level coverage and analytics staff so that we can catch Republican voter suppression in real time.
