I've been saying it for months — if Republicans were to take control of Congress, they would implement a federal abortion ban. The Senate GOP has already introduced legislation that would institute a federal ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. It's clear that the GOP is dead set on restricting the reproductive rights of women nationwide — so much for "leaving it up to the states." And if it isn't bad enough, Senators like Lindsey Graham have said that this legislation would be the "bare minimum" when it comes to federal restrictions on reproductive rights. Should Republicans retake the House and Senate in November, you can bet that they will almost immediately pass a national abortion ban. On top of this, control of the House would mean right-wing extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene would have an even bigger platform to push their radical ideology against women and our very democracy itself. [We cannot let this happen.
