Matthew 4:19–20 Good Fishing You don’t have to send a money order for a product advertised on late-night cable TV to know that some items you buy aren’t the same as what was promised in the commercial. What looked solid, sturdy, technologically advanced, and efficient in the ad seems flimsy, cheap, and time-consuming in actuality. It’s a classic example of what’s often called “bait and switch.” One thing is promised but something else of lesser value is substituted and delivered. And late-night infomercials are not the only ones to use such a tactic. Politicians, corporate leaders, and retail websites have also been known to use this less-than-ethical practice of dangling a carrot but delivering a stone. God never uses the “bait and switch” technique in his relationship with us. In fact, it’s just the opposite. When we accept the gift of salvation and accept Christ into our hearts, we get more than we ever imagined—an abundant life of purpose and joy in this life and eternal life with God in heaven later. Pray: “Lord, I want to attract others by the way they see you in what I do and say. I never want to mislead them about the gift of salvation.” You can grow closer to God with my full Jesus Daily® Devotional Book at [Amazon.com]( or fine bookstores everywhere. TRIVIA ANSWER Three nights and three days [revival health store]( Please forward this email to your family and friends who need encouragement and daily devotions. [Share on Facebook]( Help Dr. Jeff Get Kidney Dialysis Our friend, Dieufene (Jeff) Losier, has been diagnosed with Terminal Renal Insufficiency and, without dialysis or a transplant, his life will not go on. Please help him live and continue to serve the Lord at [( Jeff lives in a village, roughly four hours inland from Jacmel, Haiti. In Haiti, medical care is an extreme challenge. Just the journey to a hospital from his small village would be an extreme and life threatening feat in the condition that Jeff is in. Once he arrives at a hospital, there is no guarantee he would even receive treatment. In fact, many people who arrive at a Haitian hospital are forced to sleep outside in hopes that they'll be admitted. That's why I'm asking for help. The goal of this campaign is as follows: 1) Support Jeff in obtaining dialysis in the United States 2) Support Jeff in receiving a transplant in the United States We will work to safely transport Jeff to the United States via his travel visa, where he will receive the quality care that he needs. Once he arrives in the states, we will work to find a donor match that will be willing to donate a kidney. Now, you may be thinking, what's the big deal about this man? Let me tell you. Dr. Jeff was born in this village near Jacmel, yet overcame many obstacles to study medicine in the Dominican Republic. Opposed to moving on to a more financially viable future, he returned to the very same village, to educate and support over 1,000 community members. As a result of his efforts, kids have access to education, women and men have access to healthcare, deaths due to infections during child birth have diminished, vast gardens that produce food sources and new financial means have been developed. This list goes on. Jeff is 40 years old. Speaking with him today, it's clear that he's in a very weakened state. He is realizing the likeliness of his death, but I have hope that mountains can move. I realize that people have renal failure every single day in our country and it's a reality that we have all faced with people that we know or love. Jeff is young and he is fighting every single day to create change in a tiny village that needs some hope. Please consider giving, even if it's a small amount. No matter what, you will be helping a beautiful community continue to overcome odds. If you would like to learn more about Dr. Jeff and his ministry in Haiti, visit [www.mijaba.org](.
