As we go to share the good news of Jesus to every nation and to love and serve those who are different than we are just as much as those we are like us, we realize that we are all brothers and sisters in the same royal family. God created us as men and women in his image, no matter if we’re born in India or Indiana. As we accept the free gift of salvation and commit to following Christ, we share as joint heirs in eternal life. We’re called to work together in love as the Body of Christ, to appreciate our complementary differences instead of allowing our contrasts to divide us. Prejudice and bigotry may always tempt us to fear and to judge those who are different than we are. But in the family of God, no one is an outsider, alien, or foreigner. We are all God’s children.
