Making History in Richmond ? This bill ensures that crew members aren’t alone during shifts.

Making History in Richmond [The Newsletter ] 2024 Virginia General Assembly Mid-Session Update Hey everyone! I wanted to take a moment to give an update on where our bills are and what next steps to expect for the remainder of the General Assembly session. Our office is proud to inform you that 13 pieces of legislation have passed the Senate and are heading over to the House of Delegates to review. After that process, bills that pass will move to the Governor’s desk for review. Several things can happen once a bill gets to the Governor’s desk. One, he can sign the bill to become law. Two, he can send the bill back to the General Assembly with an amendment for approval. Three, he can veto the bill. Working across the aisle and with the Governor’s Office gives us the best chance for our bills to pass. Rest assured my staff and I are doing everything we can to see our bills cross the finish line. With your support through testimony, emails, and phone calls of support, our vision for a prosperous Virginia for all can become a reality. This is the hard work that you elected me to do. I promise you that we are going to make you proud. Serving as your Senator is a privilege and an honor. Thank you for standing with me.
