getting real about what YOU need most I’m a little divided this time of year… And that’s mostly when I’m thinking about you, {NAME}. Because I know how much we all want to breathe a collective sigh of relief when December rolls around. We’re nearing the end of a year—and who knows what kind of year it was for you. Either way, you deserve rest. As a need, as a want, as a celebration, as a fact of life… And yet. December can bring with it this weight to make it the BEST MONTH OF THEM ALL. Right? There are unseen (and even seen) expectations on our shoulders. Family. Holidays. Gatherings. Gifts. Decorations. Budget. Plan. Schedule. Road trip. Call back. Email back. RSVP. Wrapping. Giving. Showing up. Dressing up—it can be a hot dang mess. So, I have a hope for you… Give yourself what YOU need this month, too. And I’m not just talkin’ about an extra gift under the tree or like 2 hour naps (although both of those are glorious). Reflect on what’s really on your plate this month. What must-dos are weighing on your mind? Acknowledge them. And perhaps be bold enough to toss the ones that aren’t for you anymore. Define what your investment of time, energy, and self really should be. Where can you show up where it really matters? What do you need in order to rest? What are your limits, your boundaries? What feels like the best way for you to celebrate the end of a year? What do you want the beginning of the next to FEEL like? One of the most radical, yet simple shifts I made was how I entered a new year. I didn’t need the big plans or absolute clarity on my new-year-goals. I just needed a month to reset and reflect. To ease my way into a new beginning. To rest my weary feet and hold my people tighter, longer, and with more gratitude. ✨ This month might rush by in a blur unless you give it the right purpose. Give it your attention. Give yourself your attention. ❤️ And I will be here walking through this month right along with you!
