Speak this out loud to yourself… I recently heard a reminder that encouraged me so much… One of those moments where you think, “Wow, can I tell everyone in the world this?” So, you’re my ‘everyone in the world,’ {NAME} :) What I heard went a little something like this: You’re not behind in your life. That would mean you’re walking on someone else’s life path, behind another person. But your path is entirely yours, which means you could never be behind. It’s easy to, even subconsciously, slip into a headspace where you’re feeling like you’re not where you want to be right now. Frustrated about how things haven’t gone according to plan. Worried that other people are going to ‘notice you’re a fraud,’ or see your flaws.Anxious that you’ll never fully ‘catch up’ to where (or to whom) you think you ought to be. So, right now, stop to see that you’re on YOUR path. The only one like it. The only one YOU can walk, and you’re exactly the right person to be walking it. You’re not behind. You haven’t screwed up the plan. You haven’t ‘lost the plot.’ You’re writing it with every step. You’re leading the way in your life. And, yes, you can always make adjustments. Pivot, change courses, let new inspiration guide you in a different direction! But shame is never a good compass, you know? Come back to trusting yourself. Stay focused on the road ahead and enjoy it, because it’s the only one you’ve got! For the last three months of 2023, join me in making an intentional effort to stay present and to stay grateful for where our feet have taken us so far!
