I didn’t even know that this sort of thing existed…. But it does! You know that butterfly feeling? Like the sweaty pits, the feeling of “Am I making the best decision of my life or a giant mistake?” I’ve felt it – over and over and over again in my entrepreneurial journey. I’ll never forget the first time I paid to learn something (outside of the fluorescent light setting of a classroom). I was no stranger to learning but I had never wanted to learn something so bad that I’d whipped out my own credit card on the spot. It was the first time I learned that I could trade one renewable currency (money) to save another non-renewable one (time!). It’s hilarious because, as I type this, I honestly can’t even tell you exactly what I learned in that online course, but I consumed it day in and day out, until I was done. It wasn’t just the content itself that changed my trajectory, but the fact that I realized … maybe I could teach something online, too. As I’m writing this email to you, I’m getting notifications that someone just bought one of my courses – without me doing a darn thing. In fact, just last week alone my online courses brought in $53,664! How did I learn to do this? Well, I actually learned from Amy Porterfield, whose signature program (the one I learned from) [Digital Course Academy]() is open right now! And I loved it so much, I partnered with her to offer $1,997 in bonuses for anyone who joins! Now, I don’t share this to brag. Not one bit. I say this to help you see what’s possible for yourself. We all see the “make money while you sleep” claims, but we don’t tend to think about what went into getting to that point. So, when I reverse engineer exactly how I got here, I trace a lot back to that first (semi-scary) investment I made in myself when I signed up for that digital course, accompanied with the promise to apply what I learned. And I’m all for normalizing that kind of investment. We’re comfortable with college, or even college-aged people doing this kind of work, but why not make it a norm to stay growing, stay committed to challenging ourselves for the rest of our lives? And not just in the learning or ‘beginner’ stages of starting a new business, too. We love showing all the fancy things we buy to run our businesses or what the money we could make could help us buy (like that new car or home), but what about our growing minds? What about the successes that our ever-evolving-selves might accomplish? The funny thing is, when you pay to learn something, you get to keep that knowledge, blueprint, and insight and you get to reap the rewards of it over and over and over again. Continuing our education is one of the most value-compounding gifts in life. The value of moving faster. The value of eliminating friction. The value of not wasting time. The value of having confidence and clarity. There’s a line in my book that says, “Remember, you’re not the risk, you’re the investment.” Today I hope you feel worthy of investing in YOU, your future, your knowledge. And if I know one thing about you, it’s that you have what it takes to turn just about anything into a worthy investment – because you’re willing and ready to do the work. I’m rooting for you, and you better believe I’ll be over here continuing to invest and uplevel myself so that I can keep taking you on this journey with me that’s been bigger and better than I had ever dreamed. Xo, J P.S. One of the world’s greatest programs I ever joined taught me how to make an online course – and I still pop open that program to this day and refresh my brain on things. It’s open right now and it’s the complete blueprint to take what you know and impact the world with that knowledge while also earning money. I love it so much that I created a (free!!) bonus for ya if you choose to jump in! Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
