Every now and then, I like to crack open the ol’ laptop and write a little letter to you about

Every now and then, I like to crack open the ol’ laptop and write a little letter to you about how I get to write letters to you. Yep, like this one! And the hundreds of others I send your way every year. And why I love it so dang much! [image] I don’t think I’ll ever get over the fact that I get to sit here and write words that go all over the world. Actually, most parts of my business have me reeling when I really think about the kind of reach that’s been given to me. So freakin’ cool and such a gift. As are you for hanging out with me here! Have you ever thought about having your own list that you’re serving every week? My instincts and experiences tell me that a LOT of people wish they had an outlet for their stories—I mean, remember the blogging boom? And this is not JUST an outlet—it’s so much more. Serving an email list means that I: ⭐ Get to get off social media and not have to worry as much about playing with the algorithm for everything I want to share online. Email open rates are MUCH higher than visibility on social platforms. ⭐ Can share the full story, link to my suggestions, and create fun Easter-egg moments (like a blog post can!) ⭐ Am able to hand-deliver really cool opportunities to specific groups of people—it’s not a mass email list! I can be like “here are the people who really love to hear about digital courses—cool!” ⭐ Don’t have to sweat thinking about my Instagram getting hacked or deleted and everyone that I create for & serve disappearing in an instant. Plus, this is more open. Less curated. It’s just me and you and these words! It’s zero stress, no filters getting in the way, and far less of a production for both of us. Like sitting at the table for dinner with a friend and asking, “So, what’s been goin’ on with you?” I get messages from people all the time, hitting that reply button, and sharing their own stories with me. Sending me their questions and frustrations. Handing over the dreams they’ve been keeping under wraps for a long time and asking, “Is this something worth pursuing? Is it possible?” I adore this space. And I wish more people would scratch that little itch deep down telling them to explore it for themselves! Plus, not sure if you noticed in my little resource round-up I sent your way, but a fabulous way to get started on this whole serving-an-email-list thing is Flodesk! You write your emails and they’ll make every other part of it easy. Design? Gorgeous. Managing your list? Done and done. Pretty sign-up form creation so people can join your list easily? Yep! Easy to use & zero tech or design skills required? That’s Flodesk! [Here’s where you can see for yourself AND get in on their special offer of 50% off your membership forever. (This offer ends on November 2nd, so get in while the gettin’ is good!)]( Start writing little letters to your people every week! Trust me, you’ll love it.
