One of my earliest memories from childhood is of my father — a Vietnam veteran and Marine — teaching me about the bravery and courage of Americans fighting for our freedom in the United States military. And my grandfather who helped raise me instilled in me the importance of honoring the service members, and their families, who gave their lives to defend our country and democracy. So today, I encourage you to take a moment to remember the sacrifices of our fallen service members and their families who put country above all else.
