I'll fight for Georgians, not the gun lobby

He joined other Republican Attorneys General last summer in urging the Supreme Court to strike down laws that limit magazine capacities. He sided with the NRA when it faced a lawsuit over allegations of fraud and corruption. And now, he's choosing to give his public support to a law that will put more Georgians at risk and make it harder for law enforcement to do their jobs properly. I've never been afraid to take on the gun lobby. I championed legislation to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers and enhance background checks. And I [spoke out against]( the permitless carry bill when it was debated in the State Senate. Gun violence is a threat to our schools, businesses, and public spaces — and it's long past time for elected officials to embrace common-sense policies to help reduce it.
