When you think you know better than everyone else, your arrogance trumps everything. [View in browser]( {NAME}, Only a few weeks ago, voters in my state of Ohio voted 56-43% to enshrine protections for abortion rights into the state Constitution. This incredible result shows a robust majority of Ohioans support basic abortion access and rights—including reasonable limits to abortion and regulation, akin to what existed before Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court. You may not be aware, however, that the Ohio GOP and the anti-choice zealots pulling the strings behind all of the Republicans’ machinations around Issue 1 have publicly refused to accept a resounding defeat of their unpopular agenda. Their answer? Boldly undermine the clear will of the vast majority of Ohio voters: The message they are sending to voters is as clear as the message voters sent to them on Election Day: We do not respect your voice. We know better than you. And because we hate democracy, we will not honor the majority’s will. The stakes of our political disagreements and the fights we wage to win elections have never been higher. There are far too many politicians on the right who have infiltrated the Republican Party and rotted it from the inside out. Extremists on the other side have made their intent plain to voters—but they’ve also made it that much easier for us to make our case to a winning coalition of voters. Folks in my district care about the results of elections, and they care about their leaders respecting the will of the people. I need your help to make sure they see the stakes of this election and know that we can fight back together—[Can I count on your support to make sure every single voter knows that my opponent and his cronies want to invalidate their votes, and we can beat them this election?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.
