Bill Gates can officially retire now

(Well, technically, since he was born in 1955, his full retirement is 66 and 2 months… so he could’ve starting back in January). But for some reason I don’t think that’s on his mind today… He’s probably thinking more about the lavish birthday party he’s likely throwing. Last year, he rented this little dinghy out for a mere $1.8 million a week… Apparently this superyacht, named Lana, holds just 12 guests and features… A pool: Spacious master suites: And stunning views of the ocean: But a lot has changed since Bill’s last birthday… Last year he was worth $136 billion. Today his net worth is a meager $104 billion… And his Microsoft stock has plummeted 32% this year alone. So who knows, maybe he will be collecting those social security checks after all! All joking aside, the fact is big massive companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Google and Netflix have really struggled this year. Which is a big reason why the S&P 500 has performed so poorly… And a reason why so many 401ks and retirement accounts are down so much. However, there’s a sector of the market that’s currently outperforming these large-cap stocks by a factor of 2 to 1… Yes, I’m talking about Small-Cap Stocks.
