Good morning, Where’s the Santa rally?! Markets have been dicey of late, but overall I’m still bullish as we head into Christmas. That said, I backed off a few January Effect trades Monday. The IWM (small caps) has fallen to -3 ATR which has largely been a good buying opportunity this past year as you can see on the daily chart. I’m in Calls overnight in the Octagon and plan to add to my position today. CPIX, FWBI, PPSI, AHPI, ERYP, IMGN, and ISPC are this morning’s breakouts that I’m watching. ABOS, CNVY, IFBD, FEMY, DATS, KLTR, MIRO, and DNAY are the breakdowns that I’m watching. FEMY put in a nice 19.16% move Monday and has range to $7 if it keeps going. Trading In The Zone, chapter 11, page 184 Creating A Belief In Consistency Creating a belief that “I am a consistent winner” is the primary objective, but like my intention to become a runner, it’s too broad and abstract to implement without breaking it down into a step-by-step process. So what I’m going to do is break this belief down into its smallest definable parts and then give you a plan to integrate each part as a dominant belief. The following sub-beliefs are the building blocks that provide the underlying structure for what it means “to be a consistent winner.” I Am A Consistent Winner Because: - I objectively identify my edges. - I predefine the risk of every trade. - I completely accept the risk or I am willing to let go of the trade. - I act on my edges without reservation or hesitation. - I pay myself as the market makes money available to me. - I continually monitor my susceptibility for making errors. - I understand the absolute necessity of these principles of consistent success and, therefore, I never violate them. This is one of my favorite books about trading and I recommend you read and reread pages 184-188, penciling in notes, right in the book. Then come back to it from time to time and question if you’re subscribing to these sub-beliefs. Good luck with your trading today and as always, I will pre-alert in JasonBondPicks a minimum of 10-minutes before I buy, using the RagingBull APP. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
