As a valued member of the Jared family, we appreciate the trust you place in us and our team. Weâve heard your questions about how we will adapt as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect all of us across the country. In these challenging times, we remain fully committed to your safety and wellbeing while helping you celebrate your livesâ most important and special moments. Along with other members of our business community, we are heightening our awareness and practices to create the safest and best possible experience for you.
We have immediately augmented our already strict health and safety protocols in the following ways:
ENHANCED SANITATION: Our locations have always abided by the most thorough standards of cleanliness, and we are taking even more precautions to ensure our stores are completely safe. We are cleaning surfaces and jewelry every 30-60 minutes, and we are engaging our teams with additional health and safety training.
REDUCED HOURS: Many of our stores are adhering to limited hours of operation to preserve the wellbeing of our guests and employees: 11am-7pm on Monday to Saturday, and 12pm-6pm on Sunday. If you have any questions about hours of operation, you can call either our store or our central Customer Care team at 800-527-8229.
ONLINE SHOPPING: We encourage you to visit our recently upgraded website, Jared.com, which is always open, offers free shipping on all orders, and can connect you with our team members via live chat.
PERSONALIZED SERVICE: When you call a Jared store, one of our Jewelry Specialists will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding specific store hours, special orders, and repairs. They can even assist you in setting up an in-person or virtual appointment that works for your schedule.
POSSIBLE CLOSURES: We are closely following the guidance of local governments and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Many states, cities and municipalities are calling for certain businesses under their jurisdictions to temporarily close. If a Jared store is one of them, then we will update you as soon as possible.
WARRANTY EXTENSION: We have extended your lifetime diamond warranty by 60 days, which allows us to temporarily suspend jewelry cleaning and inspection services. Typically, jewelry must be cleaned and inspected every six months to uphold this warranty, but we believe itâs in your safetyâs best interest to pause this arrangement for now. We will happily inspect, update, and honor your warranty once the services resume in the future.
Because many of you have strong personal relationships with our team members, we also want you to know we are taking care of our team during this time. We have provided resources and direction to all team members to follow prevention guidelines offered by the CDC, as prevention is at the heart of their guidance. Whatâs more, weâve empowered all employees to make their own decisions about whether they feel safe to come to work or need to stay home, without fear of job security, as nothing is more important to us than health and safety.
We will continue to operate with vigilance, compassion and care as we navigate this uncharted path together. At Jared, we want you to know how honored we are to share in your life milestones and celebrations, even, and perhaps most importantly, during difficult times.
