Hey {NAME}, I mentioned recently that I’ve just joined TikTok and absolutely love it! Visual storytelling, making videos, is where I get to express myself and HAVE FUN. So it’s a great fit for me. TikTok, James? Ahem…isn’t that just for 13-year old teenagers doing dance routines? Ha! Good question. And look, it may have started as that, but it’s bustling with small and medium business these days. I’ve been keeping an eye on it for some time now (#research 😉), and I’m loving what I’m seeing so far. I get real estate advice. I get health hacks. I get nutrition tips. It’s business time on TikTok. But I’m not here to sell you on TikTok, especially if video is not your thing. But if you do love visual storytelling, too…then you might want to consider it. I’m still really new to it. And while it’s going swimmingly (3000 mostly organic followers and some super successful videos), it’s early days, and I’m still experimenting with the platform. But you know who isn’t new to it? The 5 entrepreneurs I’ve invited to share ALL their TikTok strategies and tools. That’s right, over the next week, we’re launching a podcast series where I interview 5 entrepreneurs who have found incredible success on TikTok. We kick the series off with Kristin Vaughn, whose teenage kids got into it in those early days of quarantine-fueled dances 💃. It didn’t take long for Kristin to realize there was potential for small business there. So she joined. And for the first few months, Kristin was there mostly on her own, doing the work, without much happening. 🚀 Until one day, one of her videos went viral. After that, her account grew pretty fast. Which is nice. Who doesn’t like more followers, right? 🚀 But the MUCH nicer thing is that as a result of that, she’s seen ASTRONOMICAL growth in her business. 🚀 And because of that growth in her business, she was able to leave her corporate job and go all-in on her business. Kristin and I talked about all things TikTok, including: - How posting what makes YOU happy and releasing attachment to the outcome makes business sense on TikTok - Handy video editing, tech choices, and music tips - Essential things to consider to make the algorithm work for you - How to keep personal touches in the videos so people can still connect with you - How she keeps track of inspiration and ideas, so you always have ideas handy - Her tried and tested music and audio strategies - And SO much more — honestly, there’s SO much in there. If you’re even half serious about giving TikTok a go… Click here to listen to [Episode #520:]( To Maximize the TikTok Algorithm with Kristin Vaughn]( Enjoy, James PS: This is the first episode of the series. Be sure to tune in for the rest of the week to get TikTok intel from Wave Wyld, Cayla Craft, Jasmine Star, and Kathrin Zenkina. What a line-up, right? Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
