Here’s the deal {NAME}: financial stuff is EVERY entrepreneur’s business. And I don't just mean the revenue, profits, budgets, spreadsheets, etc. side of finance. I mean what happens in the world at any one time and how that affects financial markets, the business world, and ultimately, how it could affect YOUR business. I read the other day that 39% of businesses in the US have permanently closed their doors since the start of the pandemic. And that’s heartbreaking for me to hear because my whole purpose is to help entrepreneurs not just to survive, but to thrive. So how do you do that when unexpected changes keep throwing things off the rails? Well, first of all, let me take it back one step. The fact of the matter is that change is never really that unexpected. Of course, no one knew that we were going to have a pandemic, but change is constant, and we should expect it, no matter what form it might take, right? Change comes in cycles. Economies have cycles. Businesses have cycles. The catalyst is different each time, but when we have our finger on the pulse and we GET this financial stuff… - We prepare - We adapt - We see opportunities - We get off the edge so that drastic events don’t affect us negatively - WE THRIVE I’ve been lucky enough to have one of the most informed and experienced finance people – Mel Abraham – in my ear most of the time, and I have to share what he’s been telling me for years. So I’m launching a new Mind Your Business #BizTipFriday segment called Financial Fridays, where I will be sharing about all things MONEY. I want every entrepreneur to be ahead of the curve when it comes to financial stuff instead of hearing about it from the news, panicking about what it means for them, and being reactive. We’re kicking off this episode by trying to make sense of where we’re at right now, the current state of affairs, the red flags, and how to keep your cool around them. Tune in to learn about: - How to stop making decisions based on fear - How to understand the psychology behind the cycles, so you don’t panic when things change - Our personal opinions on where things are heading: real estate, cryptocurrencies and the stock market - How to make sense of the volatility we see in the market and what to do about it - How to develop a good practice during market corrections. Whatever comes brings opportunities, {NAME}. And when you’re prepared to see and take the opportunities, versus freaking out and running for the hills, you’re AHEAD. You don’t let fears inflate your emotions. You think straighter. You make better decisions. So let’s get curious about how it all works.
