Subsequent DVD and CD releases followed as they toured the world performing clinics and concerts. They are also known and respected as the dynamic teaching duo who continue to teach together at events, colleges, and universities around the world. They were also instrumental in introducing the original "Bass Camp" idea when they ran their first Bass/Nature Camp in Tennessee in the year 2000 and Bass at the Beach in South Carolina a few years later- both intensive camps which attract students from all over the world. Zero at Sherman Theater Sat, Oct 29 at 8pm [Find Tickets]( Zero was founded by Steve Kimock and Greg Anton in 1980 in Marin County, CA. Their music being a mixture of jazz, rock and blues - free flowing. Soon they were joined by other Bay Area musicians from the psychedelic caravan, sharing the same spirit. It's not the vocals that define Zero's music - it's never ending instrumentals - a mental journey if you will. Never chaos though - a well organised trip of musicans who know how to blend their own ways of playing into one way. Keller built his reputation initially on his engaging live performances, no two of which are ever alike. For most of his career he has performed solo. With the use of todayâs technology, Keller creates samples on the fly, with nothing pre-recorded, the end result often leans toward a hybrid of alternative folk and groovy electronica. They still remain rock pioneers whose soul belongs as much to marathon dance parties as it does to live improvisational journeys. They still employ emerging technologies to help them create music that is 100 percent human although, perhaps, not entirely of this earth. When they started out in 2001, they were a bunch of guys interested in playing acoustic instruments together. As Railroad Earth violin/vocalist Tim Carbone recalls, âAll of us had been playing in various projects for years, and many of us had played together in different projects. But this time, we found ourselves all available at the same time.â Songwriter/lead vocalist Todd Sheaffer continues, âWhen we started, we only loosely had the idea of getting together and playing some music. It started that informally; just getting together and doing some picking and playing.
