Morning Bites: 5 things to know for Tuesday, October 10, 2023 Tufton to address National Mental Health Conference The Minister of Health & Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton, will address today’s opening ceremony for the National Mental Health Conference, which is being hosted under the theme ‘Mental Health & Human Rights: Using the past to direct the future’. The conference is being hosted by the ministry in partnership with the Jamaica Psychiatric Association. It will take place at the Jamaica Conference Centre in downtown Kingston beginning at 9:00 am. Inside Parliament: PAC to review AG report The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will meet at 10:00 am to review the Auditor General’s Performance Report - Managing the Main Road Network. Additionally, the Constituency Development Fund Committee is scheduled to meet at 12:00 pm to review the proposed constituency projects. The House of Representatives will meet at Gordon House at 2:00 pm. Section of Folly main road closed The National Works Agency (NWA) says a section of the Folly main road in Portland will be [closed today to facilitate the laying of sewer lines](. The road will be closed in the vicinity of Munro Close and the Anchovy Housing Scheme, between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
