Canada finished second with four gold medals and two silver while Spain finished third with four gold and one silver medal. Jamaicaâs athletes won three gold, five silver and four bronze medals at the championships. Search to intensify for missing dancehall artiste, Medikk The family of missing dancehall artiste Stephany Williams, otherwise called âMedikkâ, are intensifying their search for their loved one, who has [not been seen since August 24](. Williamsâ mother, Milicent McCurdy, has told the media that she is worried about her daughter who resides at Red Hills Road in St Andrew. Family members are concerned that they have not been able to contact Williams by phone since she is always using the device. Addressing delegates attending the Jamaica Teachersâ Associationâs (JTA) 59th Annual Conference at Royalton Negril Resort and Spa last week, portfolio Minister, Fayval Williams, said the draft policy on dress and grooming will be published before the start of the 2023/24 academic year. The National School Nutrition Policy and Standards was approved by the Cabinet in May 2022.
Advertisement CXC paper leak probe continues The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) says an investigation is ongoing into the [leaked CSEC mathematics paper two examination in Jamaica]( in May. "The investigation continues within territory, and we are working with the police to close that matter," said Director of Operations for CXC, Dr Nicole Manning, at a press conference where the May/June regional examination results were released last Thursday. The leaked mathematics examination paper occurred on May 17 at an exam centre in Jamaica which, to date, has not been publicly identified. CRFM stages 20th anniversary conference In commemoration of its 20th Anniversary, the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism (CRFM) will convene a four-day virtual Scientific Conference from today, Monday, August 28 to August 31. The event will open at 10:30 am (8:30 am Belize time), with an official ceremony, after which there will be presentations on several key thematic areas. The conference culminates with national reports from representatives of the 17 CRFM Member States on the status of their fisheries. More than 100 authors are contributing to the anniversary event, with 50 papers+ scheduled for presentation over the duration of the conference.
