Morning Bites: 5 things to know for Tuesday, July 25, 2023 Jamaica to appeal Shaw’s red card at World Cup Jamaica will appeal the ejection of Khadija “Bunny” Shaw in the Reggae Girlz’ [opening World Cup match against France]( which ended in a scoreless draw. Shaw was sent off late in the game after picking up the second of two controversial yellow cards. The sending off will result in an automatic one-game suspension, meaning the Reggae Girlz captain is set to miss the team’s crucial second game against Panama. However, Reggae Girlz Assistant coach Ak Lakhani told the media Monday that the team will appeal the decision. Triggerman to be sentenced for Lowe-Garwood’s murder Dwight Bingham, the man found guilty in the killing of Andrea Lowe-Garwood inside a church in Trelawny in January, 2021, is to be sentenced today. Bingham sat behind Lowe-Garwood during the praise and worship service before he [pumped four bullets into her body]( then fled the scene leaving behind his cell phone. The person deemed to be the mastermind in the killing, Garwood's stepson, Javan Garwood, was freed after the prosecution indicated that it could not proceed with the case against him after Bingham refused to cooperate. Men who threatened MP for court The three men charged by the Westmoreland police in connection [with threats made against Member of Parliament for Westmoreland Western]( Morland Wilson are to appear in court today. All three men have been charged with common assault. They are Tian Samuels, Omar ‘Country’ Bunny and Mikel McCoy. McCoy has also been slapped with other charges after allegedly attempting to block the Savanna-la-Mar to Negril road in Retreat during a protest when Wilson was threatened. Authorities search for grizzly bear that killed woman near Yellowstone National Park Authorities [searched Monday for a grizzly bear that attacked and killed a woman]( on a trail west of Yellowstone National Park near the Montana-Idaho border. The victim’s body was found Saturday morning a few hundred yards (meters) from a trailhead and private campground. There was no sign that the bear, which was travelling with at least one cub, tried to eat the victim, who appears to have been jogging when she was fatally mauled, said Morgan Jacobsen with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
