Morning Bites: 5 things to know for Monday, June 12, 2023 Ruel Reid and co-accused to appear in court The [results of a judicial review should determine the way forward]( when former Education Minister Ruel Reid and former Caribbean Maritime University President Fritz Pinnock, as well as their three co-accused appear today in the St Andrew Parish Court. The judicial review which was held before three judges, was set for May 7 and 8 when the accused last appeared in court. Reid, Pinnock, Reid's wife Sharen, their daughter Sharelle, and Jamaica Labour Party Councillor for the Brown's Town Division Kim Brown Lawrence, are implicated in a multimillion-dollar fraud case . The Supreme Court is to review a court ruling that Reid and his co-accused have a case to answer over their alleged corrupt actions. Manhunt continues for killer/s of 8 year-old Danielle Rowe With public outcry mounting, the police are expected to step up their search for the killer/s of eight-year-old Danielle Rowe who [died in hospital Saturday morning after suffering a severe injury to her throat]( on Thursday after being abducted from the Braeton Primary and Infant School in Portmore, St Catherine. Danielle was found on Roosevelt Avenue in St Andrew with her throat slashed and taken to the nearby Bustamante Hospital for Children where she died early Saturday morning. The police have indicated that they are pursuing several lines of inquiry into the events that led to the girl’s death. They have also revealed that she was the daughter of a serving member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Constable Noel Maitland murder case back in court Constable Noel Maitland is expected is expected to return to the Supreme Court today to answer to murder charges in relation to the [disappearance of his girlfriend, Donnalee Donaldson](. When the case was last mentioned in February, the court was told by the prosecution that [four statements were outstanding]( as well as material from the Communication Forensic CyberCrime Division (CFCD). Maitland has been charged with murder and unlawful burial of a corpse in connection to the disappearance of 24-year-old Donaldson.
