Morning Bites: 5 things to know for Wednesday, May 3, 2023 KLC to address questions on container homes The Kingston Logistics Centre (KLC) will today address safety and health concerns among other questions regarding its [recently announced container home programme](. KLC last month launched to great fanfare its "Upcycled Container Homes", with price tags for one bedroom to three bedrooms ranging between $2.5 million to $12.5 million. However, since then, concerns have been raised about long-term structural and health implications of using recycled shipping containers for homes. Advertisement OUR revises NWC’s base rates ‘to reflect current costs’ The Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) says a [rate adjustment of 5.11 per cent is applicable]( to the base rates of the National Water Commission (NWC) which it says will make the indices reflective of current costs. The OUR said in a news release Tuesday that it made the decision having reviewed NWC’s Annual Price Adjustment Mechanism (ANPAM) submission in March. It noted that the ANPAM change is not a rate increase to NWC, but simply an adjustment to NWC’s base tariff which reduces the level of monthly PAM adjustments customers see on their bills.
