Panelists include Professors Tracy Robinson, Rosalee Hamilton and Trevor Munroe as well as Jeanete Calder. The moderator is the Reverend Karl Johnson. Jamaica is[in the process of reforming its constitution]( as the island transitions from a constitutional monarchy to a republic. The process is spearheaded by a 14-member Constitutional Reform Committee chaired by Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs Marlene Malahoo Forte. Policeman on assault charges for court The police constable who is accused of assaulting his girlfriend over several days last November, after accusing her of infidelity, is expected to appear today in the St Mary Parish Court. The constable, who is stationed at the Orange Bay police station, is charged with rape, grievous sexual assault occasioning bodily harm, unlawful wounding and malicious destruction of property. It is alleged that the policeman handcuffed the woman to a sink inside the home they shared while he assaulted her. He allegedly forced her to cut off her hair and then shaved her head. The cop is also accused of kicking his lover in the mouth and hitting her in the face with a beer bottle.
