know for Thursday, April 6, 2023 State agencies looking for suppliers The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) is seeking businesses which offer janitorial services, tyre suppliers; information technology providers, caterers; construction firms and much more. To this end, Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs) have been asked to join the Jamaica Certified Business Enterprise Conference today at 9:00 am. Participants will get to meet with various GOJ agencies which are looking for suppliers. MSMEs will learn the process of [securing a government contract]( and find out about contract opportunities GOJ is awarding in the upcoming weeks. JPS begins week of upgrades The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) will be conducting [customer service]( upgrades as of today, which will result in temporary delays for some of the companyâs services. The upgrading exercise is to take place from today, April 6 to 12. During the period of the upgrade the following delays will be experienced: ⢠Payments will not be reflected until after April 12. However, all payment platforms will be available.
⢠No new connections will be made during the period.
⢠Some customersâ bills will be late, but the due date will be extended to give them the same amount of time to pay.
