Teachers have been [protesting across the island since Monday]( over the wage negotiations, forcing some schools to close their doors early and leaving some children unsupervised. At the JTA special conference at the Mico University College in St Andrew on Wednesday afternoon, 346 delegates voted to reject the government’s latest wage offer, 227 voted to accept, while one ballot was rejected and four ballots spoilt. Julian Robinson makes contribution to Budget Debate Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Julian Robinson, will make his contribution to the 2023/24 Budget Debate today. Hyde, 23, has been charged with false imprisonment, malicious communication, assault occasioning bodily harm and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. The police believe Hyde’s ex-girlfriend was held captive for at least three days in his room at the George Alleyne Hall at The UWI during which she was "tortured" with a clothing iron "and other stuff".
