We only have 2 days left for my campaign to make an impact. {NAME}, As a single mom, I was a masterclass in balancing working full time and raising a family on my own. My kids and I were known for running from soccer to basketball to field hockey to lacrosse practice and still making time for church on Sundays. And when I was deployed, my community showed up for my family. When game day came around for soccer or basketball or field hockey or lacrosse, while I was overseas, my children still had cheerleaders in the stands. When my deployment orders gave us only days to prepare before I was sent to Guantanamo Bay, I knew I could depend on my community to come together and protect my children while I protected our country. My children, my family, my community - they know how to leave it all on the field. That’s what I’ve always done as a Military Police Officer, as a teacher, as a Councilwoman, and as a mom. And that’s what I’ll do for New York in Congress, but I can’t get there without your help. Everything we do in these final moments makes a tremendous impact, and our top priority is ensuring every single Long Islander’s voice is heard and every vote is counted.
