When I started selling products, you know what my goal was? Two per day. Can't view this email properly? [View in Browser]() Hi {NAME}, When I started selling products, you know what my goal was? Two per day. And that was a stretch! I’d have been thrilled if I sold two per day. Today, my goals are obviously much larger, but all businesses start at the beginning… - Make your first sale - Make your second - Make another one - Make another one… Every marathon is run one step at a time. Likewise, every business is built one sale at a time. You decide how far you want to go. Today, I want to give you a roadmap of what's possible. Let’s quickly break down how you can make $1,000…$5,000 a month…even $60,000 a month or more from your business. What does it take? [Sales calculation]() Business isn’t magic, it’s math. How to make $1,000 At a basic level, everyone can create a small, $50 product. It could be an ebook, a video, or an audio program that teaches something simple. Then sell two per month. That’s it! And once it's set up, it doesn’t take much effort to sustain this once you get going. That’s $100 a month, which is a little over $1,000 a year. Not a lot, but enough to prove that “Hey, I can do this!” How to make $12,000 Most of us can do much better than $1,000. That’s just a starting point. With the same simple $50 product, if you get a little bit more traffic, you should be able to get 20 sales per month. Think of it this way: - 20 sales per month is less than one sale a day. - Or, if you can get 100 people to look at your product…can you get just one of them to buy it on most days? I bet you can. Especially with a [step-by-step]() system for how to find your audience and make an irresistible offer. 20 sales of a $50 product is $1,000. Do that every month and you’ll hit $12,000 a year. What would you do with an extra $1,000 a month on the side? How to make $30,000 This is where things get really interesting… Let’s say you put out a second product that’s about $100. How many of those could you sell per month? I bet you could do around 15 to start. Think about it. You’re already doing pretty well with one product. Now, you have a second product to sell, and you already have customers who are happy with what they’ve bought from you. Just 15 sales per month of a $100 product gives you an extra $18,000 per year. Combined with your first product, that’s a total of $30,000 — higher than [a year's worth of median mortgage payments]() in the US. What would you do if you no longer had to worry about rent or mortgage payments? If these numbers seem out of reach, consider that you're not running the same business at $30,000/year that you are at $1,000/year. To achieve this level, you’ve started an email list. You’re probably active on social media. You’re learning how to reach a bigger audience. All things that are taught in [Earnable](). [IWT Website]() The “Find Your Profitable Idea” playbook in Earnable How to make $60,000 What happens if you release a $300 premium product? If you sell just 10 a month, that brings in another $36,000 a year — doubling your revenue. Best of all, doubling your revenue doesn't mean doubling your work. You can make an extra $36,000 per year just by adding a single product to your existing system. The more successful you get, the faster you can make this flywheel spin! How to make $100,000 At this point, business is booming! - Maybe you’re getting a little media coverage. - Maybe you’re hanging out with other entrepreneurs who are referring you some traffic. - People are loving and sharing your material. Your business flywheel is spinning full force. What do you want to do next? Let's say you put out a subscription program. For example, people might pay you $35 a month for a series of videos and access to an online community each month. If you get 100 people to join — most of whom will be your existing customers, eager for more — that's over $40,000 a year. Combine this $40,000 with your existing $66,000 a year, and you're past the $100,000 mark! Also note that these are just examples. You can substitute different products at different price points. Do you want to focus on higher-dollar products for advanced audiences? Or do you want to include freelance work? What about coaching or consulting? It's up to you! The hardest part of building a business …is getting down the fundamentals. But when you get them right, you can succeed, like so many IWT students have. Here’s one of my favorite Earnable grad stories: [EarnLive-Graham Cochrane]() Here’s what I mean by the fundamentals: - Do you know how to find a profitable business idea? - Have you tested it with real, potential customers? - Have you made your first sale? - Do you know how to find more customers? - Can you get out of your own way and just take action? My Earnable program goes into depth on these initial milestones. Because if you get these right, then everything afterwards is much, much easier. And as your business grows, you too can enjoy the power of increasing your income without working harder. How to get my personal help starting your business When you join Earnable Live, you’re also invited to monthly live workshops, hosted by me.
